Itís usually unexpected. Itís often overwhelming...the birth of a child with a disability. For these families seeking comfort and health, there is The Childrenís Center Ė a haven of hope and healing.
The Childrenís Centerís early intervention program offers comprehensive services for infants and toddlers (birth to three years) with developmental disabilities and delays. Services include: speech and feeding therapy; occupational and physical therapy and collaboration with health care professionals. Culturally-sensitive social services support and assist families to meet new challenges and assure their babyís well-being.
Professional social workers offer resources, advice and empathy; groups of mothers and fathers come together to talk about their problems; and siblings are given the chance to express their feelings and concerns with trained staff. Services are often provided in the childís natural environment such as at home or daycare settings.
The Childrenís Center has been established as the very best way to serve infants and toddlers with disabilities or delays.
Babies have a place to call their own...babies have a chance!
